2026 YCTA National Patterns Seminar

September 25 – 27, 2026

Hosted by the Yom Chi Taekwon-Do Association

at Cross Point Camp on Lake Texoma in Kingston, Oklahoma

General Information

Patterns Seminar - Additional information coming soon
The seminar, taught by Grandmaster Douglas Arnold, IX Dan, will consist of Chang-Hon (Blue Cottage/ITF-style) patterns, from Chon-Ji through Tong-Il. The event will begin Friday afternoon, starting with patterns for IV Dan ranks (Yon-Gae, Ul-Ji, Moon-Moo) and moving higher.
Saturday patterns classes will begin at 9 a.m. with Chon-Ji. Students will be released from the seminar upon completion of the highest pattern for their belt rank. 
On Sunday, patterns will pick up where the seminar concluded Saturday afternoon.
Note: Students will not be learning new patterns at this seminar. 
Location

Cross Point Camp in Kingston is a heavily wooded camp on the shore of Lake Texoma, approximately:

➢ 24 miles west of Durant, Oklahoma

➢ 96 miles northeast of Dallas Love Field in Dallas

➢ 100 miles northeast of DFW International Airport in Dallas

➢ 134 miles southeast of Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City

Accommodations

Cabins and other indoor spaces are air-conditioned! Cabins are divided in half with separate facilities for men and women. Each SIDE contains 10 bunk beds, 3 showers, 3 toilets, and 6 sinks. You'll need to bring your own toiletries, pillow, and bedding/sleeping bag. Cabins have an attached meeting room with kitchenette, sink, refrigerator, etc.  YES, there is a coffee maker in each cabin's kitchenette! 

 

Meals

Meals are included in your seminar fee, and are served at the main lodge on Friday and Saturday. Only breakfast will be served on Sunday.

What to Wear + Recommended Packing List

You MUST wear closed toe/closed heel shoes anytime you're outdoors. No exceptions!

Taekwon-Do uniforms must be worn to participate in seminar or classes. You're welcome to wear casual clothing for check-in and free time in the evenings.

Facilities

All buildings are air conditioned. Some morning meditation classes will be outdoors at an amphitheater overlooking Lake Texoma. Most classes will be held in the Long Tabernacle building or the Wilburn meeting room adjacent to the cabin. 

Weather

Typical September weather ranges from 65 degrees to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, with high humidity.

Ropes Course (Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon)

Trained facilitators will lead us through a low ropes course as a team-building activity. Participants will work together to solve problems and achieve goals and also have a chance to climb and jump from a 30-foot power pole...bragging rights for throwing kicks as you jump!

Free Time/Activities

We'll enjoy a group campfire on the beach with stories and s'mores on Saturday evening.

On-site activities available during free time include hiking, cornhole, disc golf, giant Jenga, gaga ball, 9-square in the air, horseshoes, sand volleyball, fishing (bring your own equipment and license), and more!

Prohibited Items

Alcohol, drugs, firearms, pets, fireworks. No smoking or vaping indoors or within 25 feet of building entrances/exits.
