"Recreation" may bring to mind things like camping, going to the lake, cooking out, having a picnic, etc. Those activities are good ways to disconnect from stress and work and enjoy time with friends and family, or simply take time for ourselves.
Consider the word "recreation" for a moment. When we take time out of our busy schedules and do something that refreshes and rejuvenates us, we can literally "re-create" ourselves, returning to our daily lives as changed (recreated) people.
What would you like to re-create in your life? Activities (such as martial arts) that are physically challenging, mentally stimulating, or cause you to mindfully relax can make a big difference in your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
Be present, and seize the opportunity to re-create in positive ways.
